For FDA-approved treatment of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows, the standard dose is 50 units divided among five injection sites. Drs. Most patients return for Dysport about every three to four months as muscle movement gradually returns. Treatment timing can vary depending on how quickly your body metabolizes the product and how long your individual results last. Dysport should not be administered more frequently than every three months for glabellar lines. Your provider will help determine when it makes sense to repeat treatment.
Dysport injections are generally well tolerated. The treatment uses a fine needle, so you might feel a brief pinch or stinging sensation at each injection site. Appointments typically take less than 30 minutes, and no downtime is required afterward.
