alloClae™ vs. Sculptra® vs. Radiesse®

A cropped shot of a woman's backside after alloClae treatments in Chicago Non-surgical body contouring is rapidly gaining popularity, and injectable fillers are now being used beyond the face to enhance curves, improve skin texture, and address volume loss.

Three leading options — alloClae™, Sculptra®, and Radiesse® — are commonly used to sculpt areas like the buttocks, thighs, and hips. While all three stimulate collagen, they differ in formulation, longevity, and use.

At Old Town Med Spa, board-certified aesthetic physicians Drs. Nael and Shazel Gharbi use these fillers to deliver smooth, natural-looking results. Learn more about the distinctions between them below so you can make an informed choice for your next treatment.

What is alloClae?

alloClae is a regenerative filler made from purified human donor fat. It encourages collagen production over time, leading to firmer, more elastic skin in treated areas.

While it can be used on the face, alloClae is gaining attention for its use in non-surgical buttock enhancement, skin tightening on the arms, and restoring volume in the décolletage.

Outcomes build gradually, and the collagen-stimulating effects may last a year or longer, depending on the targeted area and individual metabolism.

What Is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injectable that works deep within the skin to rebuild collagen. It’s frequently used for non-surgical BBLs (Brazilian Butt Lifts) and hip dips because it provides a fuller, more lifted appearance.

Results develop over several weeks, often requiring a series of treatments. Sculptra is valued for its longevity. Many patients see improvements for up to two years.

What Is Radiesse?

Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel. It offers immediate volume with a second-stage benefit of collagen stimulation. It’s commonly used for hand rejuvenation, upper arm smoothing, and buttock contouring.

Radiesse is firmer than other fillers, making it an ideal choice for creating structural definition. Results typically last 12 to 18 months.

Which Is Right for You?

The best body filler for you depends on your goals, anatomy, and the rate at which you want to see its effects. alloClae offers regenerative benefits with a gentle approach. Sculptra provides gradual volume and long-term collagen support. Radiesse delivers both immediate fullness and progressive improvements.
